Singapore and Piraeus Seminars 2023

In October and November 2023, the club hosted two successful seminars for Members and Brokers in Singapore and Piraeus. With the quality of bunker fuel continuing to be a source of concern for shipowners and charterers, the seminars focussed on debunking the myths surrounding bunkering.
During the seminars, speakers Chris Fisher (Consultant Fuel Chemist, Brookes Bell), Brendan Cuffe (Marine Engineer, Brookes Bell) and Paul Herring (Legal Director, UK Defence Club) discussed the steps that can be taken to reduce the risk and extent of fuel-related claims.
The Club was delighted to welcome a record number of Members and Brokers to these two events.
